RFC Cadet Medal Naming

I am wondering if any Forum members have come across BWM & victory medals named to Cadet RFC? I have several examples of both Cadet and Flight Cadet but all confirmed as RAF. I have come across a medal group named to Cdt A.E. Forster R.F.C.  He was under training at the time of the RAF formation with serving with 2 OCW on formation date and did not serve abroad. His previous service as M1/07469 ASC qualified him for a 1914 star and clasp and according to the service medal roll his pair was issued by the RAF. The medals appear to have possibly been renamed and do not show his RFC service number (318291) but his MIC shows a 1938 issue so it maybe a pair of late claimed medals renamed accordingly.

Would be grateful for any ideas?
