I have the following info on him

PATMORE, ALBERT JOHN

Initials: A J

Nationality: United Kingdom

Rank: Boy

Regiment: Royal Flying Corps

Age: 16

Date of Death: 03/02/1918

Service No: 158778

Additional information: Son of Horace H. and Bessie Patmore, of Vine Cottage, Woodfield, Stansted.

As he is buried in our local Churchyard - How did he die and where - Did he see overseas service at this tender age.

Any Help appreciated on this

Could be worth your while to contact or visit The Office of Births Deaths and Marriages,and further research into the local newspapers of the time always yields nuggetts of information.

His death is recorded in Bewsey (could be Pewsey), Quarter 1 1918. Volume 5a, Page 210 will get you the certificate and perhaps answer your questions.

Having never ordered a death certificate before, should I do it online with the General Register Office website at http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro

I now have his death certificate and he died of

Cerebrospinal fever - Meningitis caused by bacteria and often fatal.

Could anyone help with a couple of words on the certificate

1. ?????? Isolation Hospital

2. ?????? Barracks
