I do not have Carter's or Mary's Ersatz books, do not know if this is in either, if it is, then this one will be super easy.

Well, these are both examples of the EB 58... A pretty rare type... Both are for the Belgian M.1889. and there is an even rarer version for the SMLE 1907!

Friend sent this, a German marked M89 Belgian rifle with the bayonet with scabbard

Yea, he just toss the scabbard on, you right, seam would face inward
