Hello

Looking for expert help on how to track a seamans record. Arthur Rimmer Lacey was an able bodied seaman on the above ship and received a little pocket New Testament in 1916. I have a photo of him in a naval uniform - bit this has no identifiying marks only a sailr collar with a knotted rope tie. Where can I get info - how can I get info!

Hello

You can get more information from the national Archives (unfortunately not online). I recommend that you look on the microfilmed medal roll for naval ratings (Lacey will be on roll ADM 171/107), that will give you his service number and after that you can find that number in the microfilmed service records in ADM 188. Almost all service records for the ratings survive so you will get a list of the ships he served on (including HMS Queen Elizabeth), his date and place of birth and a description.
