Lionel Splotz Posted 19 January , 2019 Share Posted 19 January , 2019 I am researching a member of the HAC who was wounded on 9/10th October 1917 in the push forward for Reutal (Polygon Wood). Records show that he was taken away from the fighting (after presumably being taken to a casualty clearing station) in ambulance train 26. I am trying to find out where that ran from and to and which CCS he would have been taken to. if anyone has any ideas on where I can find this out or knows the answer I would be very grateful Lionel
Admin RussT Posted 19 January , 2019 Admin Share Posted 19 January , 2019 (edited) The answer should be in the 26 Ambulance Train War Diary for the period in question. Link to TNA here: http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r?_q="ambulance+train"+AND+("26") Regards Russ Edited 19 January , 2019 by RussT
