Hi everyone. I am trying to decipher this record. I am slowly putting together different ships and shore bases etc, but I am struggling to read it. Can I ask if any of you guys can interpret this for me. In particular around HMS Blake, Hecla, Vulcan, I can't make out what is in brackets. I k now that Vivid and Vivid 2 are shore bases at Devonport. Columbine at Firth of Forth.

Your man was serving on the pre-dreadnought KING EDWARD VII when she was mined and sunk off Cape Wrath on 6 January 1916.  His subsequent active war service was entirely on the destroyer OSSORY (BLAKE and her successors were depot ships).  After the war he served on the Destroyer Leader VALHALLA, the destroyer WALRUS and the light cruiser EMERALD.
