Prisoner of War Depot Companies

Is anything known about the 4 PoW Depot Companies holding/administering German PoWs in France? They are abbreviated in the ICRC records as 1D/, 2D/ etc followed by a number which indicated a specific camp within a Company‘s area of responsibility.
