Harper Posted 1 January , 2019 Share Posted 1 January , 2019 In The Times this morning (01.01.19) there is an article about the British Medical Staff in Gibraltar receiving German medals in 1937 for the care of injured German seamen. One of those honoured with the German medals was Matron Casswell. The article states that she was mentioned in despatches 3 times in WW1. I had a look at her Life Story on Lives of The First World War, but it was almost a blank sheet: https://livesofthefirstworldwar.org/lifestory/4945782#images Perhaps a member of GWF who has a subscription to LOTFWW records could have a go at improving this Life Story.
