John Shaw Posted 19 January , 2005 Share Posted 19 January , 2005 Hi our team will be in Albert for the week before Easter, will Devil Wood and the other memorials be open? Thinking about cafes and toilets. Look out for a red and white land rover. John
Paul Reed Posted 19 January , 2005 Share Posted 19 January , 2005 Delville Wood is open from February; shop, museum, toilets etc. They will still be on winter hours in March, so it will close at 3.45pm.

KIRKY Posted 19 January , 2005 Share Posted 19 January , 2005 Paul, will everything, restaurants shops etc be open on Easter monday 28th March? Tony
Max Poilu Posted 19 January , 2005 Share Posted 19 January , 2005 Paul will have more details but many places will be shut on Monday (usual in France anyway of course let alone Easter time!). But...if you are stuck for something to do on Monday there is a little known fair up in Nouex-les-Mines - following the big fair in Albert on Sunday that is. Max Poilu Posted 19 January , 2005 Share Posted 19 January , 2005 John, Probably not unfourtunately - you know how it is in a Landy - especially with a 2.5 n/a! I doubt we will be there and unpacked till the late evening.

Paul Reed Posted 20 January , 2005 Share Posted 20 January , 2005 Paul, will everything, restaurants shops etc be open on Easter monday 28th March? Tony As it's a Monday, many places might be closed. Easter won't affect it, but many places close on Mondays anyway; but as it is Easter weekend they are likely to be busy as many families go out. Probably better to eat in le Tommy... if he is open!
