juno-44 Posted 14 December , 2018 Share Posted 14 December , 2018 Hi, What is the purpose of this periscope which measures 11 inches in length? It is unmarked, its leather pouch is stamped "Central Leather Good Limited Toronto 1915" and with a Canadian Broad Arrow. Being that short I doubt it would be used in trenches. Thanking you all in advance and hoping to hear from some of you very soon. Regards, juno-
Chasemuseum Posted 15 December , 2018 Share Posted 15 December , 2018 The design of some periscopes was terrible. A number of different models were this size. There is even a prismatic model with a focus adjusting ring, about 3 inches below the upper lens. Cheers RT

Like this one that clipped on the bayonet.
303man Posted 1 January , 2019 Share Posted 1 January , 2019 (edited) Looks about the right size for a periscope Rifle set up. The dovetail on the side suggests a Gun Mount. Edited 1 January , 2019 by 303man
