HTSCF Fareham Posted 29 November , 2018 Share Posted 29 November , 2018 The Register of Soldiers Effects state that his father Thomas received his war gratuity of £13, so it is probable that he would have received his Death Penny.
E Hannam Posted 29 November , 2018 Author Share Posted 29 November , 2018 Thank you, yes he did have it but at some stage it was sold. My husband couldn't remember ever having seen it. It has recently been sold again by Callingtons but I was not aware of it being for sale and would like to make contact with the person who bought it.
