SPotter Posted 18 January , 2005 Share Posted 18 January , 2005 Pals, Just thought the following Speedbid lot highlights well the anomalies of naming Great War medals Speedbid The pair is named 4697 PTE. C.T. BROOKS. HERTS. R as this was his unit on first entering a theatre of war, but his scroll and even the slip accompanying the medals show him as 235120 PTE. C.T. BROOKS. LINCOLNSHIRE REGT. Is it any wonder people get confused?! Excellent lot by the way and still a snip! Regards Steve
