worlygigger Posted 20 November , 2018 Share Posted 20 November , 2018 Wouldn't it be great if there was a national database of ALL the books and booklets that have been written about Britain's parish war memorials? Here is another one... FROM FURROW TO TRENCH. Documenting the lives of ninety men who lost their lives during and immediately after the Great War and who are commemorated on the parish war memorials of Bedfield, Brundish, Horham, Monk Soham, Southolt, Tannington, Wilby and Worlingworth; parishes located in North Mid-Suffolk. Some fascinating stories and some fine photographs, a good index and a timeline. Enabling those men to be remembered in more than just name. £12 plus p&p. Moonraker Posted 20 November , 2018 Share Posted 20 November , 2018 I suspect that any effort to compile such a database would have only partial results. I hope that the authors of all the books and booklets have thought to provide copies to copyright and local libraries so that they will be traceable by future generations.
