Bob Chandler Posted 15 November , 2018 Share Posted 15 November , 2018 Hello all, I've identified two of my wife's great uncles in these records on Find My Past, as they were both members of the London Society of Compositors and it is stated they appear on their list of serving men. They are listed as J J (John James) Illingworth and W S (William Stephen) Illingworth. I'm positive this is them as they are both listed as compositors on the 1911 census. My question is - does anyone know if these TU records contain any further details, such as regiment served in, to help me find out more about their war service? Many thanks, Bob
ajsmith Posted 15 November , 2018 Share Posted 15 November , 2018 I think it varies from union to union. The ones I've consulted tend to only show regiment etc. for members who have died.
