JOVE23 Posted 9 November , 2018 Share Posted 9 November , 2018 This might be of peripheral interest to you guys (or maybe a big interest if you're an AEF/US person), but the U.S. National Archives has digitized its collection of isolated grave survey maps from World War I - Here is the first map in the collection. Knotty Posted 9 November , 2018 Share Posted 9 November , 2018 They are interesting, thank you JOVE23 for sharing. Funnily enough I think I have seen some recent comments on the use of Plane Table surveying and questioning if there are any examples around, I believe you may have answered the latter. Weldon Posted 10 December , 2018 Share Posted 10 December , 2018 Is there an index map of the 1:40000 map grid used in the AEF area of operations? I am aware of the index for the BEF area on the McMaster University site and am wondering if there is something similar for the AEF areas? The first map in this collection references Verdun N. E. 35, for instance. I am looking for an index map that locates 1:40000 map 35.

Weldon Posted 10 December , 2018 Share Posted 10 December , 2018 JOVE23, Have you been able to locate the grave registration plat map for your subject Max Polak? I have a similar subject from the 32nd Div but have been unable to locate his. Weldon
