On this man's MIC Card he was denied the award of the 1914-15 Star and the card is endorsed Deserter.

 

Was he court-marshalled ?

It looks like he was tried at Aldershot on 17 Mar 1915 - sentenced to 112 days detention.

If you have Fold3 access he's in the court martial register.

I do not have access to Fold 3, in truth I did not know it existed until I just looked it up
