rmtruby Posted 16 January , 2005 Share Posted 16 January , 2005 Does anyone have any information on tank production in the Black Country. I read recently that the Accles and Pollocks Broadwell Works in Oldbury produced tanks, but I’m sure there must have been tanks produced elsewhere in the Black Country. rmtruby Posted 17 January , 2005 Author Share Posted 17 January , 2005 I've also heard that a WW1 tank was exhibited for some time somewhere in Wednesbury. I'm sure I've seen a photo. This might have had something to do with the fact that tanks were manufactured there. Thanks Ray
Guest Simon Bull Posted 26 January , 2005 Share Posted 26 January , 2005 I cannot find it but I think a Pal previously posted photographs of tanks being built somewhere in the Black Country, probably Tipton. Might be worth trying a search.
