Ken Lees Posted 14 October , 2018 Share Posted 14 October , 2018 A fascinating visit to the Ste. Marie Cemetery at Le Havre recently. My first visit, but I will be going back again to explore further. There were some very unusual headstones there, certainly for someone who spends so much time on the battlefields rather than the back areas and evacuation ports. Here are some headstones which caught my eye. And this was just one of the plots.
GraemeClarke Posted 14 October , 2018 Share Posted 14 October , 2018 Morning Ken, If you do go back, is it OK to make a request. I'm after an image of the HS of Jacob WIGLEY in Division 64. Grave VI.G.1 Hope this is not presumptuous, Regards, Graeme

Fattyowls Posted 14 October , 2018 Share Posted 14 October , 2018 Daggers speaks the truth Ken. Brilliant finds, and lots of interesting stories no doubt. I initially assumed that many of them would be Spanish flu victims but I think that is simplistic, I'm trying to stop myself making that assumption. Pete. Some wounds, some Spanish Flu, others drowned at sea. I was with clients so didn't have much time to myself, but certainly worthy of more exploration.
