Terry Carter Posted 15 January , 2005 Share Posted 15 January , 2005 Looking at the Commonwealth War Graves site I see he is commemorated on the Tehran Memorial and he was attached to the Indian Postal and Telegraph Unit. Terry

Terry Carter Posted 17 January , 2005 Share Posted 17 January , 2005 Hi Russell Only a small percentage of attestation papers survived the WW2 Blitz. If his papers survived then they will be at the National Archives at Kew. You will have to go and look your self or pay for someone to look for you. Unless anyone else on this Forum is kind enough to offer their services . However, I would say, there is very little chance of finding much more info on on C V Russell. Checking the 1901 Census, by the way, I saw two Christopher Russell's, the one was aged one the other was in his twenties. Why the interest in him?
