Hi Folk's,trying to find out a bit of info for a fellow rootschat member on Cpl T.W.Livermore killed on 23/8/1917,I've posted a question in soldier's relating

to the man but noticed a fair few casualties for the Battalion on that particular day could anyone shed light on the battalion's position or action they were

involved in at the time.

TIA Steve.

Mainly from a Rifle Brigade viewpoint, however if you need the full report let me know.

Some other posts/topics that touch on 10/DLI at Inverness Copse in August 1917 ....

Trench map from 41 Inf Bde diary ...

This post and those following it discuss 10/DLI using a tank hulk as a strongpoint ...

This post discusses 10/DLI's perceptions that the German Flammenwerfer troops who counter-attacked them were expecting them to run away and when the DLI did not, how the enemy morale seemed to fail ...

I'm sure Andy and I have posted even more of the 10/DLI Operational Report on this action elsewhere on the Forum, but so far 30 mins of hunting has failed to turn it up!
