Chris_B Posted 8 August , 2018 Share Posted 8 August , 2018 Remembering to day 302869 Lance Corporal Christopher Joseph Harwood, 1st Bn. Tank Corps, KIA 8/8/1918. Born in 1894 and brought up in South Wimbledon, he attended Haydon's Rd school and his family home was in Nelson Road. He had worked in hotels in the Strand and Kensington after leaving school and before joining th ASC in 1912 as Pte. S/31771. At the outbreak of war he was soon in France on 8.8.14.
