ServiceRumDiluted Posted 6 August , 2018 Share Posted 6 August , 2018 According to my copy of the RL handbook of ammunition 1918, The Fuze was the 180, which was an 80 with no percussion mechanism, for AA and Star shell use. It gives no information on colouring or markings I'm afraid.
Gunner Bailey Posted 6 August , 2018 Share Posted 6 August , 2018 The 1915 Treatise on Ammunition says that the body of the shell was painted 'lead colour' probably with a red ring near the top to indicate it was filled.
