Hi All,

My great uncle G E Moore was sent to No.5 Convalescent Camp in July 1917 whilst recovering from GSW he received during Messines.

I have been trying to find any information on the camp  ie its  location etc. but find information of this camp is sketchy.... does anyone have any pointers ??

Also following his Convalescence he was sent back to the Base Depot in Rouen with no mention of 'refresher' training. I wondered if would he have received 'refresher' training in Rouen before he was sent back to  the Front, or was all training in France carried out at Etaples..

Many thanks for any help,

M

Hi Mike. Did you find the location of No 5 Convalescent Depot at Cayeux? I am hoping to visit there soon as a relative of mine was treated there. Many thanks. Chris.
