They were hoping for it to be available by the end of April, then May and it still isn't available. frev Posted 24 July , 2018 Share Posted 24 July , 2018 Hi Jim The following is the response I received on the 2nd of July: I appreciate, and share, your frustration that the First World War VAD database has been unavailable for much longer than we had planned after the relaunch of the British Red Cross website earlier in the year. this was due to a series of unexpected technical glitches which have affected the search function on the database. Our web team are working hard to resolve the issues and have reassured us that this work will be completed by the end of August at the latest. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience caused in the meantime, but please rest assured that we do value this resource and are doing everything we can to make it available again as soon as possible.
