Good Morning,

 

I would like to know the use of the cable that was on this reel.

8 screws on each disc.

 

Material : Zinc or other inauxidable metal

 

What is the length of the wood centerline.

Do you have any pictures of this complete object?

This is a picture of it now (from Wikipedia)

The local council archive has an older picture but the watermarks cover must of it.

I've a complete one of these, and it appears to be telephone cable - although we've not been able to identify the specification.

Would be possible to have a larger picture of this part and the different dimensions as well as the number of screws :
