Ken Wayman Posted 19 July , 2018 Share Posted 19 July , 2018 Hi Pals I'm researching the part played by 56th '1st London' Division in the Battle of Langemarck, 16-17 August 1917. I have checked numerous sources but have been unable to locate the casualties suffered by 7/Bedfordshire (attached to 53 Brigade) that was tasked with securing the right flank of the 56th Division advance. I have checked the OH (vol. II), Robert Perry, Steel & Hart, Nick Lloyd, Prior & Wilson and the bn, bde and div war diaries and miscellany, as well as the 18th Divisional History. I could work out the numbers killed from 'Soldiers Died'/CWGC website but that still leaves me without wounded, missing in action and thus overall figures. Grateful for any advice/suggestions please!
