Guest Posted 16 July , 2018 Share Posted 16 July , 2018 (edited) No- But Wales has control of it's own historic shipwrecks. Shipwrecks generally in any British waters are the responsibilty first and foremost, of the Receiver of Wreck. In Wales, historic wrecks are administered by CADW- (Welsh Heritage): Protection of Wrecks Act 1973 Section 1 of the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973 is designed to protect wrecks which are of historic, archaeological or artistic importance. This is administered by Historic England in England, Cadw in Wales and the Department for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs in Northern Ireland on behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
