He's the only casualty shown the mining incident.

3 others attached to HMS Shakespeare died but possibly unconnected to the mining

Barnes Monday, November 19, 1917
Hussey Thursday, October 10, 1918 (HMS Victory II formerly HMS Shakespeare)
Wheatley Tuesday, February 8, 1921

HMS Centaur towed her back during 1st June and sent her ships surgeon aboard, rejoining Centaur on 2nd and by the 3rd June she had brought Shakespeare back..

Shakespeare was repaired in time to escort surrendered German submarines in late November 1918 and by January 1920 she was at Gibraltar.

No ratings appear to have been killed.

My Gt Uncle, Able Seaman Lewis Wood, served on this ship and it has been difficult finding information about it, so this post is really good! Thank you guys. Gt Uncle Lewis was not injured during the mining and he was then transferred to Victory 1, Vivid 1 and then to London by 24th July 1918 where he saw out the rest of the war.
