Martini-Henry's for the Natives?

In 1880's on up Germany operated Colonies along with Britton and others. Germany supplied the M.71 rifles to their Bative soldiers.

In photos of British Native troops, only ever see them with Enfields.

In the early years, did the British ever give their Native African troops

  the .303 Martini - Henry rifles.????? Anyone seen pics in a book or on line or anything. Thanks. Steve
