HeatherCr Posted 28 May , 2018 Share Posted 28 May , 2018 Just wanted to make a quick post about my great-great uncle Stanley Hare. He died almost 70 years before I was born and sadly my family is just now learning about life. My great-grandmother (Stanleys youngest sister) had occasionally mentioned that her brothers grave was in France but nobody asked her about it while she was still living, and I don't think my family really understood the circumstances. Through the Archives of Canada and some very helpful war-buffs I was able to location his service record, one photo & two articles featuring some great information about Stanley. I've attached them for anyone who is interested. I just want to take up the mantle and honour his sacrifice 102 years after the fact. We won't forget you Stanley! Pat Atkins Posted 30 May , 2018 Share Posted 30 May , 2018 Thanks for this - I found the article very interesting, and it's good to remember Stan and the other Brighton Boys. Pat
