john-g Posted 20 May , 2018 Share Posted 20 May , 2018 Hi, The above served with 66 Squadron from 08/01/17 until 18/03/17, during this time the squadron was still in its training phase and was in the process of working up to join into the war in France. Hore, had originally joined the Navy his s/n was LZ751, he then joined the 1st North Staffs regiment. He had a short spell with 66 Sqn before joining 40 RS on 18/03/17, he joined the EF when posted to 1 Sqn on 25/03/17. His Air76 notes that he was awarded a MC , he is not mentioned in Giblin and Franks MC book., although the February 1919 AFL, col 2248 shows he was awarded a MC? So what was he awarded a MC for and when? John-g
