Paul Reed Posted 7 January , 2005 Share Posted 7 January , 2005 Recently picked up a nice group shot of a RA unit in ?India/Malta between Boer War and WW1. Quite a few medals being worn: any idea what this one was. Will show a couple of the men wearing it. Coronation Medal? Messina Medal?

Paul Reed Posted 7 January , 2005 Author Share Posted 7 January , 2005 Thanks Andrew - but would they wear that in front of other campaign medals?
HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 7 January , 2005 Share Posted 7 January , 2005 Hello Paul Coronation & Durbar Medals were originally worn before Campaign Medals, until I believe around the middle of the First World War{1916~ish} when the order of wearing was amended. Paul Reed Posted 7 January , 2005 Author Share Posted 7 January , 2005 Thanks for your answers; looks like it is a Delhi Durbar then. Don't know why I didn't recognise as I have one of these in a group to a Royal Sussex man!
