3. 55643 Pte Ernest Dawe, Gloucestershire Regiment

4. 2239 Pte Sylvester Robertson, Royal Highlanders

There are 14 volumes of National Roll Tim, covering various town and city areas in England. Do you have any idea where any of these men came from?

Sorry guys. Thanks for all the help but I may be barking up the wrong tree? These men all survived. I have seen details of survivors posted from the National Roll on the forum and seen it mentioned in Spencer's book. It is something I never considered checking so thought I'd give it a crack.

Smart and Robertson were from Glamis, Forfar, Scotland.

Dawe's were from Gloucester area (Redmarley).

Also after 311734 Gnr Joseph Bowman, 1/1 Northumbrian (North Riding) Heavy Battery, RGA. He was from York.

Regards

Tim
