Guest steveb21 Posted 7 January , 2005 Share Posted 7 January , 2005 Mates, Can you give siome details of the shooting down of this bloke. He is shown on the AFC webb site as Driven down 16th March 1918 but no other details. I did hear that Sgt Wagner of 48 Sqn (Jasta) shot him down in France? He was a POW after this. Cheers S.B
Dolphin Posted 7 January , 2005 Share Posted 7 January , 2005 S B 2Lt W H Nicholls was flying Camel B5208 of No 4 Sqn AFC when shot down near Annoueullin-Mericourt at about 1005 on 16 March. A victory was credited to Vizefeldwebel Gilbert Wagner of Jasta 29 - it was the second of the three victories credited to him before his death in action on 12 April 1918.
