Can someone help me identify these men?

Hi everyone,

 

I have 2 images in my possession that i'm looking for help with, hopefully someone is willing to help me with some identities.

 

First is a group photo, 2 men at the front with military medal and military cross with other great war veterans amongst the group. I can't work out what regiment they are from but the collar badges and the plaque in the middle suggest the Suffolks? and the uniform tells me the middle east, the Suffolks were in India in 1922. 

 

The Second is a portrait of an officer who seems to be on some type of general staff.

 

Any ideas please let me know!

If you do FB, there is an excellent 'Friends of the Suffolk regiment Museum' HERE. I suspect they'd be able to help (and would love to see the pictures).

 

Interesting that the officer with the MC seems t have ribbons but not medals to his collection.

Impressive photo. What stands out for me is the MAN MOUNTAIN on the back row, just in comparison to the other men on his row. Wouldnt have liked to come up against him in battle!
