Schools exam packs

Hi, 

 

I work for a Heritage Trust as a learning officer, and I am looking to put together exam packs to support 14-16 year olds taking GCSE history, where they look at medicine on the Western Front. For this pack, I am looking for bits of First World War shrapnel, be it shell fragments or lead/steel balls from the shells. This is to help pupils examine the type of injuries/threats to the soldiers. 

 

I am really struggling to find any shrapnel/balls for sale in order to put in to these learning packs. 

 

Would anyone here know anywhere where I can get hold of some of these? (Unsure of the legal issues too of selling shrapnel/relics from Western front battlefields.)

 

I have secured some HLF funding for this, so happy to pay/donate to anyone willing to share their finds.
