No Medal Index Card or Medal Roll

Hi all 

 

Have an uncle 

 

13090 Pte Thomas Tidbury enlisted in the Queens on 11/12/1915 at Kingston 

 

Have tried to trace his medal entitlement through his service number 13090 given at enlistment but to no avail.

 

Please help if you

It looks like he did not serve overseas with that number, hence no medal entitlement shown.

Where did you get the information you have for him ?

got it it from the rough recruitment register on the Surrey heritage PDF file on the net.

 

what information do you know about that series of regimental number.

If he served else where wouldn't that first number have appeared on the MIC.

His brother 2346 Charlie Tidbury my great-grandfather is listed just above him

Sometimes there's often not much you can determine from a range of numbers as the men, once enlisted and given the numbers, could end up anywhere the army wanted them. If they then didn't serve overseas them there's very little in the way of surviving records.
