Percival Valentine Morton Born 1881 Valentines Day Bedale North Yorkshire Died 1965 Middlesbrough North Yorkshire I have a photograph of him in uniform in 1916 the lapel badge is that of the MGC can anyone help me find his service number or MIC or send me in the right direction

Percy V Morton. Yorkshire Regiment. 4389. MIC then says KRRC but note below says Comm. MGC 2/3/18. Lt. His pair are in the MGC medal roll. 

Roll gives full name and says 107895 Cpl in MGC. Also shows 4389 so same man as MIC. Repeats Commission date,

Is this your man in the 1911 Census? If so, there's a service record on Ancestry which has him joining and being discharged from the ASC in 1915 with 'very defective eyesight'..

He was entitled to the British War and Victory medals - see here in The Long, Long Trail.
