Thinking it might be Khyber Rifles, I looked for their WW1 record but couldn't find them in the Army List among the Frontier Force or elsewhere. It seems they were an auxiliary unit with British and, later, Native officers but were disbanded in 1919 as unreliable. Was their WW1 history restricted to guarding the Khyber Pass? Did they have a 2nd battalion? Did they have British weapons? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
