Sgt Stripes Posted 1 February , 2018 Share Posted 1 February , 2018 Ahoy there. Looking through the log books of HMS ST GEORGE dated 23 Sep 1916 it states "Three carpenters working on board the SS CHOO-CHOW-FU". I can not find this ship and I was wondering if it was a merchant ship or a small ship such as a tender or possibly the nick name of a ship. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. HERITAGE PLUS Posted 1 February , 2018 Share Posted 1 February , 2018 (edited) It is possible that the log book entry has misspelled the name. Here is Chao Chou Fu. http://www.poheritage.com/our-archive/ships-search/advanced-ship-search-results/DispaySelection?ships[0]=26230& Dave Edited 1 February , 2018 by HERITAGE PLUS

Sgt Stripes Posted 1 February , 2018 Author Share Posted 1 February , 2018 (edited) Just found out she was hit and damaged by a torpedo off Egypt fired by U-65 (Gustav Sieb) September 12 1918 . No other information. Edited 1 February , 2018 by Sgt Stripes
