Joe Toy Posted 23 January , 2018 Share Posted 23 January , 2018 Hi All I have been researching 2Lt Ralph Bassett, 51st Battery RGA and have established from their War Diary that in January 1918 the battery was positioned at Rue de Peronne, Neuville Bourjonval which lies north, north east of Peronne. (Trench Map 57C SE 22) On the trench map it shows references such as B.M.124.4 and B.M.129.3 - anyone got any idea what these mean? Its probably obvious but I can't think of an explanation! Example below. Thanks in advance for any answers. Malcolm
Ron Clifton Posted 23 January , 2018 Share Posted 23 January , 2018 Bench Mark? As both are close to the 125 contour, something linked to the height seems inevitable. Ron
