Guest Posted 20 January , 2018 Share Posted 20 January , 2018 My grandfather, Francis J Sumner, survived the sinking of the Ivernia, 1917. Recently my aunt showed me his diary account of the incident, written in pencil in a little note book. My cousin has transcribed the text, it makes fascinating reading, albeit shocking and sad. My cousins and I heard his story many times when we were growing up. Good old granddad. Xxx
Ralph Currell Posted 23 January , 2018 Share Posted 23 January , 2018 Is your grandfather's diary account posted online anywhere? I'd be interested in reading it. Regards, Ralph
