Alfy Posted 17 January , 2018 Share Posted 17 January , 2018 I’m looking for help identifying who’s cap badge the image belongs to my great papa Sgt James Campbell (DCM) WW1 or one of his sons who also was HLI Born 1923. I’m hoping someone would be able to tell me if the cap badge may have changed or would have been different at these separate times.

gordon92 Posted 17 January , 2018 Share Posted 17 January , 2018 The badge on display in the OP was a design worn during the period 1902 through 1952. I am unaware of any way to distinguish an HLI badge between the three reigns that comprised this time span.
FROGSMILE Posted 17 January , 2018 Share Posted 17 January , 2018 Gordon92 is correct that the badge remained unchanged through both world wars and until the ascension of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
