Photograph of soldier in 223rd Battalion (Canadian Scandinavians)

Hi,

 

I am researching a soldier (Pvt Nils Jensen Forgaard) who served in the 223rd Battalion Canadian Scandinavians (later transferred to 78th Battalion) and I'm trying to locate a photograph of him. I'm writing a story on him - but neither families in Norway or Canada have any photographs of him. Does anyone have group shots taken of the 223rd at Camp Hughes in 1916/1917? We would like to try to compare with old pictures of his brothers. 

 

If this doesn't work out - does anyone have some suggestions and creative ideas as to where a photo might be found? We've checked newspapers (in both Norway and Canada) already - but with no luck.
