Guest blisken Posted 1 January , 2005 Share Posted 1 January , 2005 I have been told my grandad, pictured, who lived in Bolton, was in the kings Liverpool in 1917. I have searched the web but can't kind anything with photos of cab badges for this regiment. Anyone got any ideas, I know the pic ain't good. I have since learn't that he could have been in the KINGS OWN.

pgardiner1418 Posted 1 January , 2005 Share Posted 1 January , 2005 Dear Bliskin, As has been said the badge is the 6th battalion The King's (Liverpool) Regiment, The Liverpool Rifle's. They were a Territorial battalion and were part of the 55th West Lancs Division (165 Brigade) However there was also a second line battalion the 2/6th who were part of the 57th 2/ West Lancs Division. Hope this helps. All the best, Paul.
