huwrevans Posted 8 January , 2018 Share Posted 8 January , 2018 Hi, A friend is trying to locate the location of Tower Hamlets cemetery where one of his was originally buried, before being moved to a communal cemetery. Tried looking at the old trench maps and can locate a 'Tower Hamlets' near Geluveld on the Menenstraat, but nothing on the 'temporary' cemetery in the area. Anyone got any ideas on where best to look? Thanks in advance. Huw
thetrenchrat22 Posted 8 January , 2018 Share Posted 8 January , 2018 Have you looked at the CWGC website and does it have a concentration of burial report for your soldier if he was buried in tower hamlets Cemetery then moved to a communal cemetery then the COB should have the original place of burial map reference on it. Please post the full details of the soldier you are looking in to

huwrevans Posted 9 January , 2018 Author Share Posted 9 January , 2018 Thanks for the info - it's not my research but a friends. I did advise him to contact CWGC but thought I'd ask the good people of this great forum first.
