593jones Posted 6 January , 2018 Posted 6 January , 2018 All we need do is to get the British government to set up a Civilian Marksmanship Programme, and once becoming a member, be eligible to buy a Webley Mk. VI. Rifles too, anyone for an SMLE? Can't realistically see it happening, though.
new3.2 Posted 31 January , 2018 Posted 31 January , 2018 The CMP program has been effect for quite a while, and one has to belong to certain arms society to qualify. There were a quantity M1911's released in the 1950's. I purchased one for $18.00. There is great collecting interest in these .45's now, and I expect they will be sold for $750+ depending on condition. new3.2
Radlad Posted 10 February , 2018 Posted 10 February , 2018 Not much chance of WW1 items turning up. Possibly Vietnam era but all will be checked, tested and possibly refurbished. Only run of the mill pistols will be sold at retail and then one will have to get on the waiting list to have one allocated. Anything special will be auctioned to the highest bidder.
