brandon_at_war Posted 5 January , 2018 Share Posted 5 January , 2018 I have names of officers & NCOs for a local V.T.C. group in Suffolk, but am unable to find many names beyond that - especially for other ranks. I know the group enjoyed sponsorship from a wealthy benefactor so were able to acquire uniforms and guns in 1915, before most others and making them one of the best equipped in the local area, but as always it was the influential men of the town who were given rank and whose names were listed in local newspapers. Most men who trained with the unit and ultimately went off to war were not listed. Is there such a central roll? Or any advice on where to look would be appreciated. Thank you. charlesmessenger Posted 10 January , 2018 Share Posted 10 January , 2018 To my knowledge, there is no central VTC roll in existence. Your best bet, if you have not been down this path already, is your local record office. Charles M
