Keith Sloane Posted 19 November , 2017 Share Posted 19 November , 2017 (edited) Could the acronym UBS (Unidentified British Soldier) on the Graves registration sheets apply to a New Zealander if NO other means of identification is possible. i.e. just the remains of a uniform, or part there of. I'm thinking after 5 - 7 years before bodies were re-interred. I have asked the CWWG but am not expecting a prompt reply. laughton Posted 20 November , 2017 Share Posted 20 November , 2017 I would have to say YES until the opposite was proven. Of the CANADIAN's I have investigated, a great number are listed as UBS. In some cases they say "UBS/Canadian". I have found a lot of them because they have UBS but the battalions and locations were clearly Canadian.
