35th company of RAMC

I'm interested in tracing some people who served in the RAMC 35th company (they worked for some or all of the war at Endell Street Military Hospital). Can anyone tell me of  any records relating to the 35th company such as diaries or how i might trace the named individuals? thanks, Wendy Moore

To the best of my knowledge, the RAMC did not have companies.  I've only ever seen the units described as the actual hospitals.

Army units in the UK did not keep war diaries so it may be very tricky to try to research them.

The reference comes from Flora Murray's book 'Women as Army Surgeons' where she lists the RAMC orderlies and other male staff who worked at Endell Street. She describes it as 35th Company RAMC.

The Regular peacetime establishment of the RAMC was organised in companies and shown as such in the Army List. These companies provided the manpower for the various field ambulances, CCS and other hospitals during the war.

The RAMC of the TF was organised in field ambulances etc, without company affiliations.
